Frequently Asked Question

ILJ Mail is Not on Advertisement Networks
Last Updated 3 months ago

There's a lot of noise out there about how we, as internet users, are being tracked. One way is through advertisement networks. Google (and by way of Google, many other companies) use a network of websites to track you through their advertisements. The simple way of putting it is that millions of websites make money off of advertisements or by advertising their product through these ad networks. The websites that want to advertise their product but a special code in their website called a "beacon". If you ever visit their website, then leave, their beacon follows you to your next website. If the next website happens to run ads on Google's network (they probably do), then the last website can show their ads to you there. I have had this happen to me so many times. There are millions upon millions of websites that use these ad networks so these networks literally know everywhere you go. If you use their search engine, it's even worse but I won't go into that here.

What I want you to understand here is that is not on any ad networks. The only ads you might see on our website are sponsors of some sort. There are no "beacons" that follow you to your next site. No ads that will worm their way into your viewing just because you visited our site and then went somewhere else. We don't need to or want to know where you go. We are very serious about your privacy just like we are serious about our own.
